Nanowrimo

So, November is National Novel Writing Month, or nanowrimo. The basics is that the challenge is to write a 50,000 page novel in the month of November. For more information, check out the website, http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/whatisnano

The whole purpose of the event is quantity, not quality. I figure that is appropriate since that is my purpose with this blog. But, I am still going to participate only unofficially. I do have a very good reason for that too. I am going to work on a series, not a specific novel. I will be working toward the 50,000 word goal, but it won't be for just one novel.

My opinion is that if I am going to have a series, then I should have it be semi-coherent with itself throughout all of the stories. I'll give a brief summary of the series right now, and then talk about it a little bit more next week as we approach November. Basically, the series involves the retelling of fairytales. Of course, when you retell something it sometimes ends up hardly related to what it originally was. That's the basics, though. More information to come as I try to decide what days I am posting and what I am posting.
