In fact, he could sort of play the games without actually pressing any of the buttons. Granted, his reaction time was slow and he had to concentrate on one button at a time, but he was improving. He had a hard time getting past level one when he could only concentrate on the ‘jump’ button, but it was actually a lot more fun than totally wasting through hard mode using both hands. Easy and making the character jump with his mind was the best way he had ever played a game before.
He though briefly about showing Amber and Callie, but Jordan finally decided against it. They would probably just think he had rigged a program or something. He would have to show them when he was a lot better at it. When he could do more than accidentally walk his character off a cliff because he could not mentally trigger the jump in time.
He had always felt alive when he was with electronics, but now he felt like he had a new purpose in life. He had to beat this game on the hardest level, without physically pushing a single button. And he was definitely going to ignore sleep as much as possible until he could pull that off.
